Coral Back Jewellery

Using scale, repitition and mirroring as design tools, this piece of wearable art attempts to break through traditional jewellery conforms. The inspiration for this piece originates from repeated forms (on both a macro and micro scale) and sources of imperfect regularity within nature, particularly coral. Paper has been valued in this design for its inherent qualities over its financial worth; the work should be a reminder that jewellery shouldn't have to be made of gold and diamonds to be valued!
