**You Fab 2013, Laser-Cut Paper Design Competition, Category A "Toys"**
For Christmas I made a deer for my friends and family.
It was designed in Sketchup and make using a laser cutter.
I wanted to make something simple and fun.
It was cut from brown card with a white sticker attached to one side.
After cutting the white sticker is pleaded away from the antlers, leaving just a rectangle of white on the deer’s face.
There are 5 parts in total. The body slots together with tabs and the face is glued onto the completed body.
I also made a version that has an blinking red LED hidden beneath the face. When a tilt switch is activated it appears as though it’s nose is flashing.
