What is Fab?

Fab is the fabrication revolution spreading around the world. Thanks to technology, anyone can now fabricate almost anything they want.

The appeal of fab:

・Fab is fun for those who like design and art, particularly people who like making things.
・The ideas don’t come from marketing departments but from people thinking, “I want this!”
・The user is often the same person as the maker or sometimes a loved one.
・The excitement of seeing a design made into a real thing, from bits to atoms.
・Moving from the era of mass production to the era of mass customization.
・A design for a physical object like a bike can be emailed anywhere and fabricated.
・It’s even possible to fabricate something as big as a house.
